The fair is open to the architectural salvage trade on the morning of Friday 29th June. Admission costs £10 per person and tickets can be bought on the gate. Only the Salvo Fair will be open at Knebworth on this Friday, none of Knebworth's other facilities will be open. Children are not allowed on site on this Friday.

TALKS & WORKSHOPS

Period Living magazine are sponsoring the talks and workshops at the show this year. Workshops will include Ray Poole, expert and dealer in wallpaper from 1960 to 1990, who has a collection of 50,000 rolls talking about wallpaper, and Norman Cockcroft of Alscot Bathrooms on how to restore and maintaining your old sanitaryware and taps. Also planned to be on the list is thatching workshop, blacksmithing, lock restoration and maintenance, how to finish wood, and salvage as art.

2.00pm-2.30pm Architectural and Garden Theft by Julian Radcliffe of Art Loss Register, followed by a question and answer session. Is there a legally watertight definition of 'good title'?

2.30pm-3.00pm Fair Trade Production in Vietnam and Indonesia by Peter Weldon and Karen Glen, short talks followed by a round table discussion. Should fair trade be a trade association issue, or should it be left to individual business preference?

3.00pm-3.30pm Reclaimed Building Materials and One Planet Living by Nicole Lazarus of BioRegional Reclaimed. All your carbon footprint questions answered.

3.30pm-4.00pm BigREc2 UK trade report by Thornton Kay, USA reclamation conference in May by Steve Tomlin, plus a roadmap for the launch of the UK Trade Association.
