What day is the trade day on?

The trade day is on Friday 25th June 2010

What hours is the trade day open?

The trade day is open from 11am til 4pm.

11am - 1pm is for trade only. 1pm - 4pm is for the public as well.

How much does it cost to get in on the trade day?

11am - 1pm - Trade only. All day tickets £15 per person.

1pm - 4pm - Public and Trade. £8 per person.

Tickets can only be bought on the gate. Children under 4 are free

Who is allowed in?

The trade day is for anybody with a serious buying interest. Visitors on this day are mainly dealers in architectural salvage, garden antique and reclamation, but also include design professionals, landscapers, interiors designers, developers, builders and architects. It is helpful if you bring a business card with you when you arrive on the gate, but not essential. We also invite the press along on the trade day.

Will I be able to buy and will everybody be open on the trade day?

Yes, everything will be for sale on the trade day. We try to make sure that most pitches are open, but there are inevitably always one or two who arrive on friday, the trade day, and a few who have not quite finished setting up on friday morning.

What else can we do when we get in?

Knebworth's normal facilities are NOT OPEN on the trade day. The normal facilities are open on the Saturday and Sunday that the fair is open to the public and they include the deer park, a dinosaur trail, formal Tudor gardens, and 'Fort Knebworth' - a big adventure playground for children and miniature railway. Knebworth House can also be toured for an additional charge of £2.50 a ticket.

Is it outside?

The fair is an outdoor event. Some pitches are covered by marquees. Every effort is made to ensure that the ground is safe, but if the weather is wet, the ground may be muddy, so please wear suitable footwear.

Can we bring dogs and children to the fair on the trade day?

We strongly recommend that children and dogs are not brought onto the fair site on the trade day, as some pitches will be still setting up. We ask that EVERYONE TAKES SPECIAL CARE to avoid injury. Some Salvo Fair exhibits are big, heavy and sharp.
